Countertops
If your customer selects a preformed top, please be aware that there could be a potential problem with water getting into the seams and expanding. We glue and seamfil all our mitres and joints so we do not have many problems. There is a problem if water is left setting on the top over seams. We cannot warranty seam expansion if this happens in butt joints, mitre cuts or around sink cut outs.
Warped Countertops
Warped countertops may occur with excess moisture and humidity especially if stored before installing. This can be corrected by placing the countertop in direct sunlight or near hot air register before installation. We recommend balance sheets to help prevent this problem especially in the dishwasher area and on wide bars.
